Adele Watts is a visual artist working primarily with Photography. Her work is often drawn to her family, reflecting on memories of familial past and recurrences of isolation and loss. Using the family archive and reconstructing narrative through new works, in I remember, she explores the affects of trauma from the sudden loss of her mother’s father when her mother was a young child. Searching for clarity and hope of some resolution, the work deals with the pain of only seeing partially and of partial experience.

In 2015/2016 Adele took part in the first ISSP International Masterclass with Aaron Schuman. She has recently been selected for the Lumen Artist Residency that will take place in Atina, Italy in August 2018. Adele received a 1st class degree in Photography from Solent University, Southampton in 2004 and since then has continued to develop her practice whilst exhibiting internationally, most recently at the Estonian Photographic Art Fair in Tallinn, Estonia (2017). She lives and works in London.
